Kids "All American" 3 Day Culinary Summer Camp (Ages 8-12)

In this technique driven camp, students will learn to sear the perfect steak, create the best pan sauce, all while creating laminated pastry dough, and learning the secrets to making the juiciest carnitas, among many others….. oh and on the last day of camp… kids will be grouped into teams for an Iron Chef Cooking Competition Challenge!

Day 1-

On the Menu:

  • Herb Crusted Pan Seared Sirloin Steak with a Creamy Garlic Butter Pan Sauce

  • Homemade Tater Tots with Buttermilk Ranch Aoli Dipping Sauce

  • Very Berry Lattice Hand Pies with Vanilla Bean Creme Chantilly

Day 2- Tacos Tuesday!

On the Menu:

  • Homemade Flour Tortillas

  • Juicy Citrus Pork Carnitas

  • Avocado Crema and Coleslaw

  • Pickled Jalapeños and Red Onions

  • Pico De Gallo

  • Double Chocolate Chili Brownies

  • Cinnamon & Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

Day 3- Master your Craft! Iron Chef Cooking Competition Challenge

On the Menu:

Students will be grouped in teams and given a prearranged set of ingredients and allowed creativity while being guided into mastering the art of creative “All American Cooking!” with a twist!

What to Expect: Our classes are led by highly trained professional chefs. All classes are hands-on and 2 to 2 ½ hours in length (unless specified). You will work with other students in groups of 4. You will receive a generous tasting of each dish at the completion of class.

*While we will make an effort for ingredient substitutions for food allergies, adjustments cannot be made during class. If you have a food allergy, please contact us at least 24 hours prior to the start of class.

By making a purchase and booking a cooking class or private event at Season and Taste Cooking School, you agree to the following terms:

Please have long hair tied back and wear comfortable, closed toe shoes. You will be standing and cooking for most of class. Customers will receive a knife skills demonstration at the start of class. Because safety and sanitation is of the utmost importance, if the chef or manager in charge feels customers are being disruptive and/or unsafe, we have the right to refuse service.

Refund Policy:

Payments for classes and dinners at Season and Taste are non-refundable. If you find yourself unable to attend, you may transfer the ticket to someone else. We are unable to refund fees and all payments are final.
